Marysville, WA- Marysville City Councilmember Mark James, Pos. 2, announces he will seek re-election.
Councilmember James was first elected to serve on the City Council in 2017. While on the Council, James worked to bring several large projects to completion (1st Street Bypass, State Ave road and bridge improvements, new Civic Center, walkable trails and parks) all while keeping the budget balanced with a healthy reserve. Councilmember James also serves on various committees and boards such as: Finance, Government Affairs, CDBG and Community Development and in addition is serving countywide on the Law & Justice Council and as a County Planning Commissioner.

Councilmember Mark James has lived in Snohomish County for 30 years and is a local small business owner. As an active volunteer, James dedicates his time to various organizations including Marysville Sunrise Rotary, Marysville Food Bank and the Salvation Army. Prior to moving to Marysville James served in the Army.
